BACKGROUND REPORT
TITLE – Give your report a title that sums up your chosen subject
Introduction
A brief description of your chosen subject for a background report and why you think that subject is topical and relevant to a current audience.
Evaluation
You will be expected to demonstrate that you have an awareness of a range of issues relevant to your chosen story idea and to investigate those issues through credible and reliable online sources, making use of your website evaluation skills. You will be expected to clearly detail the issues relevant to your chosen subject. You should clearly explain any arguments and points you raise.
· A data visualisation. It should be based on analysis of data you gathered from a primary source, and interrogated. This will take the form of some type of graph or visual data technique. You will need to include a footnote on where you access the primary data and what software you use to create the visual.
· Links to at least two websites relevant to your story
You need to think about how best to produce/execute your multimedia background report in a manner that best tells your story.

Style
Your background report must be written in plain and simple language with Australian spelling and grammar.
Your report must be 1,500 words in length from title to end of evaluation (excluding any
footnote or endnote references).That means your report must have no fewer than 1,400 words and no more than 1,600 words). You must end your report with an accurate word count figure.
